NEW BEGINNINGS

Available only in McAllen 

New Beginnings is a home replacement program for 62 years or for disabled clients that are currently living in substandard living conditions that are beyond repair.

PROJECT IMAGINE TOMORROW

Available only in McAllen

In a partnership between Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. and The City of McAllen, Project Imagine Tomorrow seeks to encourage homeowners to either repair their dilapidated homes or demolish them through tax incentives, a voluntary demolition program, and practical home mortgage financing solutions.

REHAB LOAN PROGRAM

Available in Hidalgo, Cameron, and Starr Counties

Through our Community Development, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. AMY YOUNG PROGRAM

Available in Hidalgo & Cameron Counties

Provides one-time grants of up to $20,000 for persons with disabilities who need modifications to increase accessibility and eliminate hazardous conditions in their home.

NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING 

PROGRAM

Available only in Pharr

Neighborhood Housing Program is a home rehab/replacement program that is available for Pharr residents that lived in Pharr at least one year.
 

Applicants must be low or moderate income at the time of application (means total gross earnings equal to or less than 80% of median family income)

 

There are no age restrictions and the property must be current on taxes and with no liens.  The home must also be the primary residence of the homeowner.
